Tropical northland

We are now in the far north of New Zealand, the winter less north they call it. Very lush with tropical flowers. Sadly to be this lush it gets tropical rain and we have had solid rain since the plane landed .

There is a lovely salt water pool but we haven't been keen to get wet to get wet! 

Our friends fly in from Wellington this afternoon and we pick up a rental car so will explore. The weather is meant to clear tomorrow.
